VIL DE MATOS, fotos tiradas em julho de 2014.

Ao visitar Vil de Matos em Julho de 2014, conversei com algumas pessoas que trabalham perto da Igreja Católica. Um senhor, que trabalha em uma serralheria, informou que os Beirigo ou Manadas moravam "lá para os lados de Mourelos ou Rios Frios", mas que sempre apareciam por Vil de Matos.
Costa dos Rios Frios (RIOS FRIOS) ou Mourelos ficam a aproximadamente 30 KM de Vil de Matos.
Já VIL DE MATOS fica a aproximadamente 50 km da cidade de COIMBRA, PORTUGAL.

Jose da Silva LEITAO , son of ANTONIO DA SILVA LEITAO and DONA MARIA JOAQUINA MANADAS , was born in Vil de Matos, Portugal,  on January 6, 1872 and died on January 12, 1961 , being buried in Aracatuba SP. He was married with DONA MARIA ANTONIA , born in Rios Frios, Portugal , and divorced her  on April 23, 1927 , and  came as an immigrant to Brazil , where he was working on the Railroad Mogiana in the region of Frutal/ Uberaba / Jaguara region, when  he met the widow of a French language teacher ( whose name is not known ) the DONA MARIA FAUSTA DA CONCEICAO , daughter of Geronimo and Maria Goncalves Beirigo Vicência da Conceicao , whose maiden name was Beirigo Silva ( born on ... 1888) and died in Penápolis , São Paulo,  in 27 February 1950,  aged 62 , being buried in Aracatuba - ( SP ) . Her ex-husband , who also wielded political activities , was the victim of a crime . Mr. Jose da Silva LEITAO  married her, taking her two sons , Jose Joaquim Coimbra, Antonio  Coimbra , and she had more other children , who are , Antonio da Silva Coimbra , Coimbra and Anita Fausta Isabel da Silva . MARIA's father , GERONIMO GONSALVES BEIRIGO , had six sons and six daughters ,was a rich farmer, owner of many properties and political chief in the region of Frutal - MG , and disowned his daughter when she refused an arranged marriage to a farmer , and married a teacher , who also had a political chief. She married at 15 and widowed at 19 years .Before she lost her husband, she worked as a mailwoman, delivering letters. After the  mysterious death of her husband, she was forced to flee with her two kids, and abandon their property. My grandfather found it near the tracks of the railroad, now a defunct rail siding near Conquista-MG, and went to live with her ​​and care for children from a previous marriage . She got a job as a cook on the railroad , and preparing the food for the railroad  maintenance teams in  Jaguara-MG . My father, ANTONIO COIMBRA,  met one of her brothers, who was visiting her sister in Penápolis in the thirties .
P.S: GERONIMO GONSALVES BEIRIGO, was mentioned in an issue of the DIARIO OFICIAL DA UNIAO in the year of  1936, he was pursuing a demand for a large area of land in the region of Frutal/Planura - MG . All places here mentioned, except Vil de Matos and Rios Frios in Portugal,  are in Brasil, in the state of Sao Paulo or state of Minas Gerais.

Genealogia e história dos sobrenomes Leitão (Vilde Matos, Portugal) e Beirigo (Frutal-MG)

JOSÉ DA SILVA LEITÃO, filho de ANTONIO DA SILVA LEITÃO e de DONA MARIA JOAQUINA MANADAS, nasceu em Vil de Matos em 6 de janeiro de 1872 e faleceu em 12 de janeiro de 1961, sendo sepultado em Aracatuba-SP.Casou-se em ... com a DONA ANTONIA MARIA, natural de Rios Frios, Portugal,  e divorciou-se em 23 de abril de 1927, vindo para o Brasil como imigrante, onde foi trabalhar na Ferrovia Mogiana, na região de Frutal/ Uberaba/ Jaguara, região em que conheceu a viúva de um professor de língua francesa ( cujo nome não é conhecido) a DONA MARIA FAUSTA DA CONCEIÇÃO, filha de JERONYMO GONÇALVES BEIRIGO e MARIA VICENCIA DA CONCEIÇÃO ,cujo nome de solteira era SILVA BEIRIGO (nascida em ...de 1888) e falecida em Penápolis, São Paulo, em 27-02-50 com 62 anos, sendo sepultada em Aracatuba-(SP). Seu ex-marido, que também exercia atividades políticas, foi vítima de um crime. O Sr. Jose casou-se com ela,  adotando seus dois filhos, o Jose Coimbra e Joaquim Coimbra, e com ela teve mais outros filhos, que são, Antonio da Silva Coimbra, Anita Coimbra e Isabel Fausta da Silva. O pai da Maria Fausta, Jeronymo Gonsalves Beirigo, tinha seis filhos e seis filhas, e um grande fazendeiro,proprietário rural e político na região de Frutal-MG,e deserdou a filha quando ela recusou um casamento arranjado com um fazendeiro, pois preferiu casar-se com um professor, que também exercia um cargo político.Ela casou-se aos 15 anos, e enviuvou aos 19 anos.Antes de perder o marido, era carteira, entregava cartas a cavalo, e após a morte do esposo, em circunstâncias misteriosas,  ela foi obrigada a fugir
e abandonar sua propriedade, para não ser morta, e fugiu com seus dois filhos, José e Joaquim, que estava de colo, e meu avo a encontrou perto dos trilhos da estrada de ferro, hoje um ramal ferroviário desativado, perto de Conquista, e passou a viver com ela e a cuidar dos filhos do casamento anterior. Ela conseguiu um emprego de cozinheira na ferrovia, e preparava a comida da turma de manutenção de Jaguara. Meu pai conheceu um dos irmãos dela, que foi em Penápolis visitar a irmã, na década dos trinta. Estória contada pela filha do casal Jose da Silva Leitão e Maria Fausta da Conceição, a Isabel Fausta, que hoje reside na América.

Obs. O sr. Jeronymo Gonsalves Beirigo, foi mencionado em uma edição do Diário Oficial da União, do ano de 1936, em uma demanda sobre terras na região de Frutal/Conquista-MG.
